21 weeks pregnant!

Oh, I'm so excited. I'm over halfway finished with this pregnancy- what a great feeling. I LOVE feeling the baby moving around in my tummy. Yesterday I had an appt and got a sonogram done. We've decided to NOT find out the gender. Jody wants to, but I don't. Since I'm the one carrying this baby, I won :o). I'd say that's fair. right?

This past weekend we visited some dear family in Seguin. They were super sweet to us and very hospitable. Other than Joseph's continual whining when I got one foot out of his sight, a great time was had by all. We'd hoped to be able to see some of our best friends in San Antonio, but alas, it didn't work out :o( Sunday morning we attended church with them. I really enjoyed it! The SSchool teacher shared this verse and now it's our memory verse:

"Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever:
for they are the rejoicing of my heart."
-Psalm 119:111

I love that verse!! I think it's awesome that at different times in my life, God sends "new" verses to encourage me to memorize and hide in my heart. Thank you, Lord!!

My dearest mother-in-law sent us a package the other day. She picked out a really pretty maternity shirt for me. :o) She also sent the kids a green t-shirt each. How sweet, eh?? I love her!! "Poor" Jody felt left out. He was so funny. What a great actor he is! ;o) Thank you, Jean!!

My parents are moving CLOSER to me. I'm thrilled with this news!! And very soon. Yay! I'll get to visit them more often, and that can only be good...

Do you have a special memory verse you're working on right now that has significance in your life? If you'd like to share, I'd love to know! :o)

Family photo time

We love this family! They are some of our best friends and we go to church with them, which is a huge blessing. Last night I had the privilege of taking their photos. My legs are sore from all the squatting- what a workout! :o)

Joseph- 1 1/2 yrs old (or 18 months)

This boy is NOT a fan of the camera. He'd rather run, pick flowers, shake the fence- whatever. I'm sure one day he'll calm down. For now his pictures are taken on the move.

Halfway there!

For some reason I've been so camera-happy lately. I know I've been posting lots of pictures, but it's better than nothing, right? My dear husband took a little photo session of me and Mikayla this evening in her room. At the end, he took a few of just me. On Tuesday I'll be 20 weeks pregnant with our 3rd child. I'm REALLY showing and I'm happy about it. Just thought I'd share these in case you're wondering about my ever-growing belly.

We love Grandma and Grandpa!

We have the privilege of spending a few days with Jody's parents. They are so much fun to have around. After Mikayla's bath this evening, she wanted Grandma to put braids in her hair. Grandma kindly did so. :o) What a blessing they are to us!!

Wow, thanks!

Hi there, sweet ladies. And I do mean sweet. and thoughtful. and considerate. Thank you ALL for all the wonderful suggestions. There were some that I hadn't even considered. I appreciate you all caring and sharing ;o). A dear lady is sending me some maternity tops. I'm SO thankful and super excited. Isn't it amazing how the Lord provides?? I love it! Tomorrow is our 2nd Tuesday. Come if you'd like. We'll be:

  • singing
  • having a bible study on time
  • doing a fun (I hope!) craft together
  • having tostadas for lunch

Hopefully I'll be able to post some pics tomorrow. Lots of work to do before then!

Thanks again!

Help!

I guess I'm a pretty impatient person. or at least I'm finding that out as time goes on. I'm highly frustrated b/c I can't seem to find summer maternity shirts WITH SLEEVES. I know the average person looks great in a tank top/sleeveless/or really short sleeve shirt, but I do not. And that seems to be all I'm finding. sigh. For now I'm just wearing over-sized t-shirts which are not the most flattering, and I'm rotating them about every 3 days or so. I looked at a JCPenney catalogue with some cute shirts, but they're about 25 bucks each and then you pay for shipping... ends up being about 30 dollars for a shirt. NOT something that's affordable to us right now. Anyone know of a good, inexpensive place to shop for maternity shirts??

"A few of my favorites" collage

Look at the placement of the bubbles on the groom's face. How funny, eh? Love it!

Growth means life

The other night my husband said something complimentary about my ever-growing belly. I muttered something sarcastic back, and then stopped and said, growth means life. I'm so thankful that the baby inside of me is growing, and I NEVER want to take that for granted. Sure my tummy makes living sometimes uncomfortable, but how truly amazing that there is a life inside of me being fashioned and made by the Creator of all life. Wow.

I thought about the Christian life. What kind of fruit am I producing? or am I producing any at all? I want my Christian life to be a life of growth, of change where/when I need it (and I so often do!), and of service for the glory of God. This life IS but a vapor; I want to live with thoughts of eternity always on my heart. I want to bear fruit that is pleasing to the Lord.

I'm 18 weeks pregnant! This pregnancy has been a really neat one so far. Our children love poking at my tummy and talking to the baby and giving my tummy kisses. It's so precious. It's hard to believe this is my FOURTH pregnancy. wowzers. I feel like I've been pregnant for years now ;o) Actually, I kinda have...

I had the privilege of photographing a wedding this past weekend. Surprisingly, I wasn't as nervous as I'd thought I'd be. What a WONDERFUL family to "work" with! My husband was a huge help in the organizational part of it and in the encouragement area. How I love him! My dear parents came here and watched the kids for us. Talk about an act of love! If I ever do another wedding, I'm going to definitely need some more lighting. I had a rough time with the lighting of the church; I definitely lacked the knowledge/experience of what I needed, which resulted in more blurry pictures than I would've liked, but I think enough came out pretty good, so I was happy all in all with the results. (how was that for a run-on sentence??)

Just thought I'd finally type out a new post. It was about time, eh? Good night, friends. :o)

Love these kiddos!

Since the morning was so nice we headed to Coggin Park this morning. Grace and her kids have been staying with us the past few days and we are REALLY enjoying our time with them. Don't ask about Joseph's outfit- Grace dressed him.
