Growth means life

The other night my husband said something complimentary about my ever-growing belly. I muttered something sarcastic back, and then stopped and said, growth means life. I'm so thankful that the baby inside of me is growing, and I NEVER want to take that for granted. Sure my tummy makes living sometimes uncomfortable, but how truly amazing that there is a life inside of me being fashioned and made by the Creator of all life. Wow.

I thought about the Christian life. What kind of fruit am I producing? or am I producing any at all? I want my Christian life to be a life of growth, of change where/when I need it (and I so often do!), and of service for the glory of God. This life IS but a vapor; I want to live with thoughts of eternity always on my heart. I want to bear fruit that is pleasing to the Lord.

I'm 18 weeks pregnant! This pregnancy has been a really neat one so far. Our children love poking at my tummy and talking to the baby and giving my tummy kisses. It's so precious. It's hard to believe this is my FOURTH pregnancy. wowzers. I feel like I've been pregnant for years now ;o) Actually, I kinda have...

I had the privilege of photographing a wedding this past weekend. Surprisingly, I wasn't as nervous as I'd thought I'd be. What a WONDERFUL family to "work" with! My husband was a huge help in the organizational part of it and in the encouragement area. How I love him! My dear parents came here and watched the kids for us. Talk about an act of love! If I ever do another wedding, I'm going to definitely need some more lighting. I had a rough time with the lighting of the church; I definitely lacked the knowledge/experience of what I needed, which resulted in more blurry pictures than I would've liked, but I think enough came out pretty good, so I was happy all in all with the results. (how was that for a run-on sentence??)

Just thought I'd finally type out a new post. It was about time, eh? Good night, friends. :o)

Sarah, I am so glad your pregnancy is going well. I've never had a tummy full of baby, but I have had a heart full of baby. I tell my children they were born in my heart instead of my tummy. :)

I LOVE you and your belly.. I can't wait to meet your baby! I kinda feel like I wasn't pregnant for long enough.. but then again, I'm glad I'm not pregnant any more. Weird. I sometimes feel like it was all a dream. Very surreal.

Lovies!!
