Happy Monday!

I love Mondays. A fresh start to a week. I'm very thankful my dear hubby made it to work safely this morning. It was SOOO icy that we couldn't even get the car doors open. Well, eventually Jody did...

Here's a pic that Jody took of his girls yesterday:

Quite a bit blown-out, but the overall message rings loud and true. We love each other!

We had a lovely Sunday at home. We sang 4 songs that I can "play" on the piano. It was funny b/c when I'd mess up, Jody and I would just quit singing. Good thing I don't play for our church!- the song service would take forever! :) And Jody shared some good thoughts on the verse, Open thou mine eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. Good stuff.

Ok, it's time to feed my baby girl, who I love sooo much. I hope the ice melts sometime soon. I'm kinda getting cabin fever- boy, I'm pretty spoiled! Hope everyone has a fantastic and delightful day:)

Glad to hear that Jodi made it to work safely today. I was definitely waiting and waiting for Steven to let me know he made it safely. I don't like it when he has to go in with weather and road conditions like this. It's scary! But he's there safely now! Thank the Lord for His protection!

Not to nitpick, but what day IS the first one of the week? I used to ALWAYS (and still to some extent) refer to Monday as the first day of the week. I think it was because the use of the phrase "weekend" (which in our culture includes Sunday) and that most of my life has revolved around school (which obviously began on Monday). Any thoughts on that fellow blogger?

Yes, Rebekah, I do thank the Lord for His protection! He IS good and merciful. How blessed we are.

And Mr. Chad (or Heather?? for some reason I can't imagine it being you), is it nice for your VERY FIRST COMMENT on bought-with-a-price to give a critique???! ouch. Yes, I'm aware that Sunday is the first day of the week- just look at your calendar. But, hey, if that's what it takes to get a comment from the casa of the Helwigs, I'll take it:) Thanks for stopping by!

Sarah, Christy never said wocca, wocca....bust she most assuredly coined the term "wacca, wacca" to refer to guacamole

Yummy. If wacca is Guacamole, count me in. Love it.

Sarah.. wrote you back on "rise and shine" :)

Enjoying your posts.

Leave it to our old pal Pooh/Baby D Bop to clear things up.. even if I still DONT know how I end up being credited for "coining" the term.

Good job on all the commenting, Brent.. I am seriously impressed! Too bad you didn't come through like this back in my blogging days. Rats.
