Grrr and Brrrr

I just had an almost finished post typed out and I accidentally kicked myself offline. For those of you who have had dsl forever, I realize you might not be familiar with the term "kicked offline." Anyway, rats. So, I'll try to recap, but I'm sure it won't be with as much gusto.

We woke up this morning to the ground so beautifully coverd with SNOW. Wheee! It was gorgeous. And it wasn't the normal TX snow where 1/3 is snow and the other 2/3 dead grass. So, that was a treat. Jody made snow "angels" (sorry Grace), and on his way to work, (after scraping ice and snow from the car), he threw snowballs at me and Mikayla. We WERE inside behind a glass door, but still quite unlike my dear husband. But we (I) loved it. Mikayla gave a little cry b/c she was a bit startled.

The other evening when my friend Christy was here, she distracted me while I was making bread and I forgot to add the FLOUR. I don't know how I did it, but I did. So, I had to rescue the dough from baking, empty the dough into the mixing bowl, add flour, wash pans and regrease and resugar them, THEN put them back into the oven. That was a wild time, to be sure. Come to think of it, neither she OR my mom helped me that night with the bread. They just sat back and smiled (laughed at me). I'm really glad to have such great friends:)

I was struck by this verse while reading in Exodous when the children of Israel were complaining to Moses and Aaron, and Moses answers..."for that the Lord heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord." Wow, some serious food for thought there. When we murmur/complain/gripe, etc. it's against the Lord!

I'm going to try to thoroughly enjoy my snowed-in day at home. I'd wanted to get glasses- I lost mine. I like to wear contacts during the day, but it's nice to be able to put glasses on after a long day and let my eyes rest. Anyway, it's been almost a year since I've had glasses. Hopefully, Jody and Mikayla will be able to take me tomorrow. Any good recommendations of where to get a good pair of glasses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Bye for now.

Oh.No.You.Didn't!

I cannot believe that I just spent the evening with you, trapsing over snow banks, taking pictures, eating burgers.. all the while in the dark about what things you'd written about me! So, this is how it is... you forget an important ingredient and I get blamed. Oh yeah, I forgot you've been making Amish friendship bread your whole life. I am literally shaking my head in disbelief. Let's see.. what was I doing while you were not getting help with the bread?? Oh yeah, I was in PAIN. How quickly you forget the little details of our times together. Oh well. NO, don't worry.. It's okay for all your blog friends to think of me as the foe.. No really. I'm sure Grace still loves me anyway. Right Grace??

I'll see you tomorrow... unless I forget to come....

Still love you. Both of you.

I must comment on the cleverness of your title! Grace might not be the only witty one in the family! Who knew?! Thanks for keeping the LNO plus Papa a secret from me. No feelings hurt.... I guess I'll see Miggy tomorrow; you didn't say how much you were charging me.... I love you!

Grace, that Jody IS a trickster; a fun one at that:) I did call you.

Christy, don't even try that. not even for a second. you were totally to blame. Ok, I'm kidding, but I'd better see ya tomorrow evening; be here or I'll come kidnap you.

Pwe, I'm stoked about tomorrow evening. And you can't say anything about not being invited tonight- you were! Love you:)

We have had no snow here but have had ICE growing up down sidewas and EVERYWHERE! The ground it white with ice. It ALMOST looks like snow :-)

Hope you have a snuggly rest of the week and weekend!!!

We had great fun with the snow too! Steven built a snowman with some help from Ryan. Though mostly Ryan spent the time throwing snowballs at Steven. It was adorable! Wish I had a video camera..oh, well!!! Maybe next time!

That Jodi definitely has a hidden side, doesn't he? hehe

I have to say I did chuckle a little about the flour...sounds like something I would do these days though, so I try not to laugh too hard when others make these kinds of mistakes! Pregnancy tends to make me more than a little scatterbrained, so I'm sure I'll have some equally hilarious mishap before its over! :)

cole, of course I don't mind a laugh:) I wasn't laughing while it was happening (I was a bit frustrated), but I can look back now and certainly chuckle. and to my credit a tiny bit, it wasn't like it was yeast bread, where the flour addition is TOTALLY obvious- do I get a break?? :) Rebekah?

Sorry I had to miss last night.. but you didn't even try to come kidnap me. Nuts. I was SICK but I feel a tiny bit better today - aside from my foot which is purple! MR Jones tried to get me to go to ER and get an x-ray, but I don't think it's broken. Just sore. I could barely walk today.. hope it'll be better after the weekend. I went to bed at 7 last night! I think it helped my cold. LOVE YOU.
